ABCD Carol Concert 2017

ABCD's inauguaral Carol Concert was held last night in the stunning St George's Bloomsbury.

Having been prompted by the Reverand Daniel Burton, ABCD Trustee and compere for the evening, to "sing out and sing loud" everyone was full of voice as the congregational carols took us from the England of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen to the Palestine of O Little Town of Bethlehem.

The supreme choir of St Mary's Shortlands, directed with consummate professionalism by Canon Claire Tillotson, ABCD Trustee, performed beautifully choral pieces such as the Shepherd's Pipe Carol by John Rutter and John Gardener's The Holly and the Ivy.

All this was interspersed with choice readings from John Betjeman, the Bible, and the Quaran, with the Reverand Daniel Burton, another ABCD Trustee, leading us through proceedings intertwining ABCD's story with that of Palestine past and present.

Afterwards, in great Palestinian fashion, we gathered together for Holy Land Cake,

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved, and all those who supported us from afar.
