Action around Bethlehem Children with Disability

Improving the quality of life of children with disabilities across the West Bank

The Centre for Rehabilitation Al Arroub Camp

ABCD was approached by Al Arroub Refugee Camp Rehabilitation Centre for help and they have become our latest partner in 2019.

Nur Shams Refugee Camp

The children clearly enjoy their treatments – to watch a child of four who has never walked take his first steps, initially aided by the parallel bars and then to launch off unaided is truly wonderful

Music Therapy

Music Therapy is a powerful medium which helps children who may struggle to express themselves. This project was initiated in 2015 by ABCD Trustee and Music Therapist, Canon Claire Tillotson, in conjunction with Paediatric Psychiatrist Dr Souha Shehadeh, who leads the Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR) Mental Health Team.

3 PEAKS FOR PALESTINE

Three intrepid ABCD trustees, Firas Sarhan, the Rev Daniel Burton and Anthony Glaister, the charity’s enthusiastic fundraiser head plan to conquer the famed Yorkshire Three Peaks on July 22 to raise essential funds for vulnerable children with disability in Palestine.

With 175 years between them they will walk and climb the 24-mile trek, a total of over 7,000 feet taking them 12 hours.

Their aim is to reach the £5,000 target. Each step the trustees take is towards the aim of supporting these children to reach their full potential.

Please give generously following the link below and make these three wise men grin with delight with their achievements for these children who will benefit greatly.
