Join us in the Peak District for our Northern Walk – Adding Miles to our Palestine Relay

This September, we’re heading to the stunning Peak District for our Northern Palestine Relay Walk, a rewarding day of walking, fellowship and solidarity as we continue our Palestine Relay challenge.
Taking place on Saturday 5th September, this year’s Northern Walk is a spectacular circular route from Edale to Castleton via Mam Tor and Lose Hill. Covering around 9 miles, it’s a more demanding walk than our southern route, but those who take it on will be rewarded with some of the finest panoramic views the Peak District has to offer.
As part of ABCD’s anniversary year, we’re inviting supporters across the country to help us complete our Palestine Relay—our collective challenge to walk the distance from London to Bethlehem.
Every mile walked brings us closer to our goal, while demonstrating our shared commitment to standing alongside our partners and the communities we support in Palestine. Whether you’re joining one of our organised walks or adding miles in your own way, every step counts.
Our Northern Walk offers a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the Relay while spending time with fellow supporters in one of Britain’s most beautiful national parks.
We’ll begin in the picturesque village of Edale, setting off on a circular route that climbs over the iconic Mam Tor and Lose Hill. While there are some steep ascents, the breathtaking views across the Hope Valley make every step worthwhile.
We’ll stop for lunch in the historic village of Castleton, where you can enjoy a picnic or choose from one of the local pubs and cafés before continuing the walk.
For anyone who would prefer a shorter day, you’re welcome to join us for just the 3-mile return walk from Castleton back to Edale, departing at 2:00pm.
Whether you’re an experienced hill walker or simply looking to challenge yourself for a good cause, we’d love to have you with us.
