Celebrating 40 Years of ABCD Bethlehem – A Wonderful Evening of Thanksgiving
published: 27 July 2026

Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who joined us for ABCD Bethlehem’s 40th Anniversary Service of Thanksgiving at St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate. It was a truly memorable evening and a fitting celebration of four decades of supporting children with disabilities and their families across the West Bank and Gaza.
It was wonderful to see so many long-standing supporters, friends, trustees, volunteers and new faces come together to reflect on the journey of ABCD Bethlehem, celebrate all that has been achieved over the past 40 years, and look ahead with hope to the future.
The evening was filled with moving reflections, inspiring words and a real sense of community. Following the service, guests enjoyed the opportunity to meet, reconnect and continue the celebrations over food and refreshments, making it a joyful occasion from beginning to end.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make the evening a success. Events like this are only possible because of the dedication, generosity, and hard work of so many people behind the scenes. Whether you helped with planning, organising, welcoming guests, refreshments, or simply giving your time in support of the event, thank you. Your commitment to ABCD Bethlehem and our mission is deeply appreciated.
A very special thank you goes to Reem Kelani, whose beautiful musical contribution added warmth, emotion and a profound sense of connection to the evening. We are incredibly grateful for her generosity in sharing her talent with us.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Sir Vincent Fean for delivering such a thoughtful and inspiring address. His longstanding support for the people of Palestine and his passionate advocacy for justice and peace made his contribution particularly meaningful as we reflected on ABCD
As we celebrate this important milestone, we are reminded that the achievements of the past 40 years have only been possible because of the unwavering support of our donors, volunteers, trustees, partners and friends. Together, you have helped transform the lives of thousands of children with disabilities and their families.
Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to the next chapter of ABCD Bethlehem.
